10 Things You Shouldn’t Waste Your Time Trying To Change

Life has its own way of throwing tantrums at us, and it becomes worse as we grow up. It was way better when we were young, many of you would agree with this, right! One of the most difficult issues we encounter as an adult is when to act and try to change things, even if it isn’t you place to to fight this battle. Everything will run its course, nothing will be constant forever, so quit changing things that are utterly a waste of time. Nothing productive will come out of it, so just move on and look for the things that works best in you interest. Here is the list of things you should avoid doing if they are literally not working for you.

10. Living someone else’s dream

The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are; the second greatest is being happy with what you find and making the most of it. Quit making excuses for yourself and pursue your passion not someone else’s. You can choose for yourself and you certainly don’t need permission to get your ideas to the right audience. Have the courage to follow your calling and remember: Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.

9. Waiting to be picked

If you have some talent, skill or knowledge and you are waiting for someone to look for you than my friend, you are in wrong place. Nobody is coming for you! Pick yourself means you should stop waiting and whining and stalling but gather yourself and make yourself prominent among others. Wondering how can you be prominent? Whatever you choose to do, there are resources out there that can help you achieve your goals in simple steps. Choose to be your authentic self. Let go of who you think you should be in the future and be yourself now.

8. Waiting for a perfect time

There is no such thing as perfect in this world and time is certainly not among them. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. Once you acknowledge this, you will get a lot more meaningful work done everyday. It’s easy to come up with excuses and justify not getting started. When you make excuses, you are simply saying, “I’m not in control.” But guess what, you are the only person who is fully in control of your actions and decisions in the world.

7. Not everyone will like you

No matter how hard you try to become likable you will probably end up in disappointment only. When you try to change things about yourself in order to be liked by others you will probably block your true colors and would end up being someone you are not. This will never make you happy because all you are doing is molding yourself according to the situation. Only your true self will get you the sincere relations in life and you certainly don’t need any approval from others.

6. You can’t change anyone

You can never understand the true nature of a person no matter how close you are with them. When someone is not willing to change no power can make you change them. It will only worsen the situation for them and for yourself too. The only way to help anyone is to let them be, and realize that they have their own path, and they will deal with their issues in their own time and terms.

5. You are not immortal (Change things)

You can not deny the fact that you will not be here in the world forever. Being so much involved in the crucial cycle of life of achieving more and more we forget to make time for ourselves. Quit behaving like you will stay here forever and sooner you stop working your bodies out to exhaustion and start appreciating the life you are living and take care of your mental, physical and spiritual health the better it would be.

4. Worrying about what other people think

The opinions of others shouldn’t matter in the slightest unless they are productive for you. You shouldn’t be changing things about yourself in the fear of what others will think about you. You shouldn’t waste you time in shaping yourself into something you are not. Deep down you know what you have to do and why you have to do it. Don’t let weak minds get in the way of who you’re trying to become and what you’re attempting to accomplish.

3. Wishing things were different

Things are as they are. Accept them. If you cannot accept your reality, you have no hope in hell of taking the actions necessary to improve it. To wish things were different is an utterly stupid waste of time because it makes you pity your situation. Instead, accept your reality and start working toward making it a better one. Being in a position of control is strong, to give that control over to fate, to dreams, wishes, is weak.

2. Guilt won’t change anything

You should accept and acknowledge your mistakes and learn from them, since they are here to help you grow. Feeling guilty about some mistakes you made won’t make it better, it will only keep you immobilized from moving forward. So stop wasting time to change things that happened in the past because you can not simply change the past but you certainly can work best for future.

1. Trying to change the world

Well we all have this habit of putting blame on others when everything goes south and we often fail to see what is the real problem. You must be familiar with the slogans of changing the world and making it a better place to live in and to change things about it. But what we forget is that this world is made up of people, people like us and we are responsible for how the world is as it is. It isn’t the world which needs a change it should star from us, fro every single person inhabited on this earth. Quit changing the world but be the change in it.
